UT20 is designed to be reliable in harsh environmental conditions; the brightness of 550 nits, the sunligh readable screen and the antiglare treatment allow you to work outdoors, or in spaces with high lighting. The screen is a Corning Gorilla Glass 3, touch 10-finger capacitive that supports operations with gloves and with wet hands. The UT20 can work non-stop, in fact its 3000mAh lithium-ion battery can be hot swapped without having to turn off the device.
This tablet is extremely robust, has a very high resistance to dust and water, proven by the IP68 certificate. It has successfully passed military tests leading to the achievement of MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F certificates. It can fall from heights of 1.5m (4.9 ft), on solid surfaces such as marble, without being damaged in operation.
There are also some extensions to the basic functionalities: a long-distance Bluetooth and a module that is barcode scanner and NFC. This tablet has impressive input/output ports considering its small size. It has two USB 3.0 ports, one type A and one type B, a 35-pin POGO expansion, and a Wi-Fi-GNSS-Cellular connector. Wireless connectivity further enriches the UT20, with the presence of a modem with a nano SIM card, Wi-fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth V4.2
